Geneva, Switzerland
Coginta conducted several surveys on security in the canton of Geneva for the cantonal police. These surveys are conducted jointly with the Strategic Service of the Geneva police. See Local Diagnostic of Security.
Chad
Mandated by UNDP and jointly with UNHCR, Coginta finalized a 21-million USD a year Joint Program of Assistance to the Détachement Intégré de Sécurité in charge of the protection of refugees and the escorts of humanitarians in the East and South of Chad. Coginta also drafted the legal framework of the jont assistance program and supported the UNDP country office in fund-raising. more on the DIS project in Chad.
Democratic Republic of Congo
Mandated by UNDP in 2009, Coginta assisted the Police Reform Committee of the Democratic Republic of Congo in designing a new policy document on community policing. We also conceived for UNDP-DRC, in partnership with the UN mission in DRC, UNICEF and UNODC, a three-year programm of assistance for the implementation of pilot projects of community policing. » more
In 2011, we conducted a preparatory mission to program a pilot project of community policing in the Ituri district and the North Kivu Province in Eastern Congo for UNDP/BCPR and the Congolese Government.
Coginta is also awarded a UNDP contract to draft a cross-national comparative study on local governance bodies of policing. The study will include case studies in Belgium, Burkina Faso, France, Turkey, and South Africa. The final report is due mid-July 2011.
In 2011, in partnership with PricewaterhouseCoopers, Coginta will assist a working group of the ministry of Interior in the regulation of provincial committees of security and local committees of security.
Guinea Conakry
Technical assistance mission to programming an inclusive SSR and facilitation of UNPD coordination role for SSR and Justice reform in Guinea Conakry. The mission includes support to national partners in drafting the national SSR priority plan and support to technical steering committees in finalizing ministerial contributions to the national priority plan.
Haiti
As member of a rule of law assessment team, Coginta reviewed the UNDP-Haiti rule of law programme in 2009 and elaborated a new three-year programme that included an assistance to judges and prosecutors, a support to the prison reform as well as activities in strengthening the police reform.
Iraq
Coginta designed the three-year "Blue Project" for UNDP Iraq. This institution-building project included a dialogue over an ombudsman for policing, a small arms control component, the training of the Basrah Police in community policing in collaboration with the police of Abu Dhabi, the construction of two community police stations in Basrah, and the training of senior officers in police management in cooperation with the Jordanian police.
Morocco
Mandated by the International Center for Transitional Justice, Coginta has animated workshops in 2010 with civil society on the role of civil society in the security sector reform.
Romania

Turkey
Coginta drafted a EU best practice report on police governance for the civilian oversight project of UNDP Turkey; we also wrote a synthetic document proposing a mechanism for the governance of the internal security agencies in Turkey.
United Nations
Coginta participated to best practice workshops of community security and the security sector reform of DPKO and UNDP.
